Quality Test – Any better than Untouched?

I can't seem to get sexy Youtube videos that are nice in HQ and without artifacts in HD. I actually think HD is uglier than HQ just because HQ doesn't give as many artifacts on the screen around the killfeed. Suggestions people? (Bitrate recording = 13.5)(Render Settings = Best 16:9 HD WMV)(Effects - Sharpen 0.1, Levels 0.1, Crop 92%, Saturation 2.0) The codec is Windows Media Video 9 but is there any AVI HD codecs that produce no artifacts but retain deep blacks and contrast? Thinking about it, could it be the codec thats PLAYING my videos in youtube? ;) I have ffdshow, DIVX & CCCP installed :) Anyone know whats the best one? (I was at my missus and one of Patchys HQ vids were like superhd on her laptop.
